CDS - Customs Declaration Service

CONEX has successfully migrated its customers to CDS for Imports and non inventory linked exports. We remain on target for the implementation of CDS inventory exports in accordance with the HMRC CDS TTM (Trade Test Milestones) roll-out timetable, despite the changes to their initially planned deadlines.

Our clear understanding of UK customs regulations, HMRC customs procedure requirements and associated processes such as Government Gateway registration enables us to provide optimal assistance to our customers. The enormity of moving from CHIEF to CDS may have seemed overwhelming for UK traders and software service providers alike. With CONEX, however, our customers were able to rely on our experience of having migrated a large customer base to new customs systems in several EU countries: anticipating issues instead of enduring them.

CONEX is also an active member of the UK and EU trade groups AFSS, BIFA and CLECAT

The key to dealing with the new reality of a post-BREXIT trade environment is covering all the bases, remaining vigilant and acting fast. This is just what CONEX excels in and indeed has been able to provide, adapting to ever-changing deadlines and imposed procedures with short lead-times. We have already ensured that multiple UK and EU traders have been able to meet the challenges of post-BREXIT cross-border obligations.

Planning to trade with the EU but have never filed a customs declaration? Our team can provide assistance in determining your business, IT and training needs, whatever the scenario.

From October 2024, advance security declarations will be required for importations from the EU to Great Britain. Conex has been supporting its customers with their GB S&S declarations for "RoW" since January 1, 2021, and we are ready for the EU to Great Britain deadline.

The SAFE via Conex™ software solution - ICS1 has made it possible to manage advance security declarations for goods imported into the EU since the security regulation came into force 12 years ago.

ICS2 is made up of several phases, called Release 1, Release 2 and Release 3. We are already supporting our customers with ICS2 R2 for air movements and remain on target for the various ICS2 R3 modes of transport.

NCTS 5 will replace NCTS 4 in July 2024 for all UK Transit declarations.

Conex has already completed the HMRC accreditation process for UK NCTS 5 and is ready for deployment in July 2024.
